As well as meeting the requirements of QPR, the development of a seamless, stress-free and engaging ticketing journey for the fan was of paramount importance to the InCrowd team.
The new, groundbreaking Ticket Wallet is accessed via fan registration and is hosted in the official QPR app to also provide the fan with a set of team and venue specific features and exclusive content. This delivers an unrivalled match day experience for the fan whilst providing QPR with the ability to connect the ticket holder to a previously anonymous device. As well as collecting data on behaviour and preferences to create more direct connections between QPR and their fans, QPR are now able to to identify exactly who is in the stadium to improve in-stadia experiences and safety.
InCrowd also introduced a range of anti-tout mechanisms to the ticket wallet, all of which are highly configurable according to Ticketmaster and QPR’s specific requirements. These mechanisms include hidden barcodes, device locking, screenshot prevention and several other features.
Finally, ticket wallet gives fans the in-app ability to transfer tickets between mobile devices and most importantly, between operating systems; technology that we believe to the first of its kind in UK sport.
This was a hugely successful project with massive potential for QPR, Ticketmaster Sport and InCrowd to continue to improve the match day experience for fans.
